Our Statement of Faith
We believe:
That God’s love is boundless and extends to all people. We believe that every individual is valuable and deserving of love and respect, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other factor that might lead to exclusion or discrimination. We strive to create a safe and affirming space where all can encounter the love of God and experience the transforming power of the Gospel.
In one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
That the Bible is the inspired Word of God. We recognize that interpretations of scripture can differ, and we encourage open and respectful dialogue as we seek to understand God’s truth together.
In Jesus Christ, fully God and fully human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again in glory.
That all people are created in the image of God, possessing inherent dignity and worth. We acknowledge that sin separates us from God and from one another.
That salvation is offered freely to all who believe in and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that God’s grace extends to everyone, regardless of their past experiences or current circumstances.
In the Holy Spirit, who empowers believers for life and service, guides us into truth, and bestows spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ.
In the Church, as the community of believers, called to love God and love our neighbors as ourselves. We strive to be a welcoming and inclusive community, reflecting the love and grace of Jesus Christ to all. We recognize that the Church has often fallen short of this ideal, and we are committed to learning from the past and working towards a more just and compassionate future.
